How to join the forum

Hello there!

We are glad to welcome new members to the forum, however for various reasons we manually approve all new members. Mostly this has to do with spammers and trolls - nothing normal members should be concerned about

We're as excited to talk about a-ha as you are, so we will do everything possible to approve new members quickly, usually within 24-48 hours. I know this may sound like a long time, but remember this is a fan site and we all have lives offline

We don't want anyone to feel unwelcome, but because we get so many spam registrations we have decided to screen new user posts so that spam will not show up on the board at all. This means your first 5-10 posts will have to be read by a moderator and approved before they will appear in the discussion threads. If you ever have a post waiting for approval, you can PM a moderator and ask them to approve it

**Update November 10**

I am just back from almost a week's holiday and have cleared out a backlog of 300 new member requests. So sorry to those of you who have waited for your account to be approved! Hopefully now you have received the confirmation e-mail and can log in. If you have any trouble at all, just e-mail me at admin@a-ha-wotm.com and I'll help out as best I can

Also please note that if a user name even remotely sounds like a spam user name or if the e-mail address looks sketchy, I usually delete the account right off the bat - we get about 50-60 spam account requests a day so I can't spend the time to look at each and every IP address or e-mail account to see if the person seems like a real fan or not. So if you don't get an approval e-mail within 2-3 days, just e-mail me and I'll work with you to make sure you can log in!
